Thoresby Colliery Youth Band

Welcome to the home of Thoresby Colliery Youth Brass Band

Thoresby Colliery Youth Band is a registered 4th Section Brass Band, which was established in 2000 by our commited and enthusiastic musical director Christine Lippeatt. the band is based in the north Nottinghamshire village of Edwinstowe, home of the legendary Robin Hood.

The band provides free professional musical tuition to young people around Nottinghamshire who wishes to play a brass instrument. entry in to the band only requires a committed passion to learn a instrument and has a enjoyment of music.

The band rehearses every Monday evening with our beginners group starting at 6:30pm to 7:00pm and then our main band starting at 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Thoresby Social Club in Edwinstowe.

Upcoming Events

The band is now in practice for the Midland Area National Championships on the 12th March 2012 in Bedworth.
