Christmas Programme 2013
Last night Sherwood Forest Brass concluded their Christmas itinerary at Forest Lodges. The band played carols for the guests as they arrived for their Christmas break.

On Sunday the band were at their home in Clipstone Social Club for the family Christmas Concert. The programme included carols, Christmas songs and festive pop songs from over the years. The audience were also encouraged to participate in a narrated seasonal story involving the game of pass the parcel and sing their way through The 12 Days of Christmas. The evening concluded with a disco for those wishing to dance the night away.

December started with carols in the High Street at Edwinstowe for the annual Christmas lights switch on and street party. This was followed with the band playing in the Craft Centre, Forest Corner, Edwinstowe over the Elizabethan weekend, a carol service at Farmilo Primary School and at the Rufford Park Golf Club’s Christmas party.

The band also appeared in concert at the Salvation Army Hall, Mansfield in the middle of the month.

The Christmas music now side lined for another year the band now looks forward to 2014 and some hard work over the next few weeks preparing for the Butlins contest.
