Thoresby's youngest member stars

At the last two recent concerts the band’s youngest member Nathaniel Walters played his first solo with the band. He has only been with the band for about twelve months and his performance of Tuxedo Junction at both concerts was greatly appreciated by the audiences. I suppose performing comes second nature when your dad is Mark Walters (ex Flugelhorn Grimethorpe Colliery).

The Tuxford event was a Proms concert and the band featured many of the items played several months before in Warsop, and it was just as warmly received. Joining Nathanial as a soloist was Joanna Wilmot with some beautiful Flugel playing in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s song I Don’t Know How To Love Him from Jesus Christ Superstar.

In our own village of Edwinstowe the youth band took part in the senior band’s autumn concert. Here the band featured several new numbers in their programme, the March Broxburn by JA Greenwood, Ruby a song made famous by English rock band Kaiser Chiefs and Celtic Festival.
